art deco oriental vase?

    beautifully decorated vase the lantern has an art deco look to it, looks half painted and half transfers $_57 (19).jpg $_57 (17).jpg $_57 (18).jpg

    Nice oriental vase, I don't see anything Art Deco about it, JMHO. Potties will want to see the bottom, marked or not. Is that damage on the top?

    Face is western not Asian. This may be Asian "style" and yet not produced there.

    It's rather typical of British vases of the 20s or so.

    Agree with the others, looks like a Western interpretation of the Japanese aesthetic. Looks really nice too, is the lid damaged though? That would be a shame. Are there any marks no the base?

    thanks for the info, this one is blank on the base unmarked so I didnt bother showing it, I thought the faces, and hawaiian hair flowers, parasol and especially their dresses looked oriental without thinking about it
