Art glass wall ornaments, a bit modernist, has anyone ever run across similar?

Got these glass pieces at a recent sale, what can you tell me? At first glance I thought they were from a craft kit or something, but the metal rings that connects the glass segments are embedded in the glass. Just curious if anyone has ever seen similar. Thanks.

 

They are pretty, a little different than your everyday stained glass window ornaments. Try googling...fused glass suncatcher...you'll find lots of similar pieces.
