Humler & Nolan’s Farewell Sale, Cincinnati Pottery Auction Says Adieu After 30 Years

Incredibly sad news, I really enjoyed viewing their catalogs and they were "the" experts in Ohio art pottery with several large auctions of Rookwood, Roseville, Weller and other makers each year. The above article is a really good read and goes into great depth. Hope this isn't the start of another downward slide for art pottery, it has already taken a beating in the market over the past decade and a half.

Wow, that's a surprise! We just won some lots in that last 6/20/20 "Keramics" auction, and have participated for many years with them. BTW Art Pottery auction prices in the last month or two have been VERY GOOD in many auctions, even for the more common Roseville styles. Maybe it was just time for them to move on to their retirements or next careers.

    - SORRY TO SEE YOU GO HUMLER AND NOLAN AND THANKS FOR BEING SUCH A REPUTABLE AND HONEST AUCTION HOUSE
