This is 1 of 3 pieces I found at a local thrift store today. I'm guessing it's a print but I'm not sure & I'm hoping someone here can tell me about it before I open the back & take it out (image search on my phone didn't show any matches).
It is wide (about 3.5 - 4ft) and the frame appears really old?
If you look at the 6th & 7th photo it looks almost like someone slid a painting behind the glass while it was still damp & made those horizontal lines where the building meets the trees?
Also, I can't tell if those are letters like a signature in 8th photo down (bottom part where the green grass meets the brown rocks?)
Can anyone tell me what this is? How old it is? It's actually very pretty.
    Thank you for any information!

PS - is that the glass that makes it look so different in sunlight compared to photos taken inside?

That looks like a decorative print by someone like Robert Atkinson Fox.

    1920-ish home decor.

Thanks - thrift manager knew better than me - he only charged me $20 for it & said "it's a nice old frame!"

Don't hang your print where there is direct sunlight, but rather where it is illuminated by the outside.

You will find that in the morning, you'll seem to see the sun come up, and in the evening, dusk arrives.

And if it hangs in the bedroom, one can see the dream aspect...

I have an old Hudson River painting which does the same thing.

Kinda looks like a Maxfield Parrish print, but I don't recognize it.

R.A. Fox and Maxfield Parrish painted similarly. Parrish, however, usually had a more precise approach, and a wonderful shade of blue/aqua peculiar to him. :)

Seconded. You can spot a Parrish in a blind minute once you've seen a few. This is by someone from the same era, but not him.

Does it have any value or should I set it by the mailbox (where someone will pick up withing a hour!)?
