Artist proof woodblock print

    hi folks

    this is a print i found with the watercolour (unframed)

    signed but cant make out the signature

    can anyone make it out

    not sure if its a woodblock print or not, the image is in a slight recess, which is shown on the back

    any thoughts or help appreciated

    :hilarious:, God love her, watched it again recently and it never tires. Her reoccurring brooch and make shift outfits and bickering with her mother.

    I am right in thinking she had hardly any hair as well ?

    The plate mark makes me think this is an intaglio print, but I don't know how the plate was prepared. Woodblock is a relief process, so no plate mark.

    Could easily be a couple different techniques combined.

    What is that dark spot wandering around (or are there several)?

    Yes ! It was thought she had alopecia. She was a looker in her youth. Both mad as hatters,but never boring !
