One translates as "the sound of flower in the small building." Another is "the sound of the jade XIAO is far away." (XIAO is an old Chinese instrument). Both these lines are from old Chinese poems. The beauty of the scenes is matched by the ornate frame. Each section has inner borders in red weave pattern, with beaded outer portion in gold.
