I've looked through gotheborg.com with no luck, of course I could have missed it. I am confused I've not seen gold # and lettering on something with an Asian double boxed back stamp. OF course there's lots of stuff I haven't seen!! HAHAHA ... thanks for any help! asian.jpg asian1.jpg asian2.jpg

That’s very pretty, Rose! I’ve never seen a polychrome flow blue.

It's definitely British, Staffordshire and one of the Asian pseudo marks used by some factories here. Not sure it's Mason's, I'd need to go fish a book out.

Gah... you should see me trying to explain this to my dad so if anyone has a reference that would be great, thanks again.

I located a similar plate and it was described as "Antique Victorian Plate Flow Blue Imari Chili Pattern Marple, Turner & Co c 1852" but they did not show the back side.

I did find that Chili pattern and mark, both look rather different to me. Do you know where you found your reference? Maybe it's different than this example.

Not Mason, imo. Or at least, Godden thinks not.

I think there is a British pottery ceramics group on FB, maybe I will ask there. If I find out I will report back!

Godden doesn't have a Meigh pseudo mark like this one, agreed.
