[QUOTE="George Chaney, post: 4625369, member: 19137"]Picked these up a month or so ago and was hoping to get some assistance in dating and identifying along with any additional details you can help with;

1st is a George Washington miniature portrait after the original Stuart portrait in bone frame with what looks like latin paper on the back of the frame. The miniature is signed Stuart. Image measures about 3 1/4" high by about 2 1/2" wide. Appears to be original paint with losses, I assume it is painted on bone given the white background,

2nd is a A.Tidemand portrait miniature. I am unsure as to the medium/print method. My assumption was the bit was late 19th century. I have two of these, they are both done using the same technique. I do not know the titles of the pieces which would be lovely. These measure just under about 5" x 5"

3rd is a hand painted frame wiht a cut out from Roberto Hoesch Milano. I am assuming this is from 1890's but would really just like to verify the frame - which is two part - wood insert with the round cut out I guess 3 if you count the glass. Frame is about 5 1/2" squire OD

4th is a small porcelain? painted portrait in a rococo frame. The frame measures about 6" high. The portait is unsigned, and measures about 2 1/2" x about 2". There is a mark on the back. I'd like to know if anyone knows who the mark is, and the age of the plaque and the age of the frame - estimated of course. The sitter is Raphael Sanzio and done after his self portrait painting.

The 5th is again a small porcelain? painted portrait. Measurements are about the same as the other.
