Featured Aztec / Mayan (?) Terracotta Vase

    Hello, and greetings to all fellow collectors !

    I would sincerely appreciate any help whatsoever regarding a terracotta vase I recently picked up at a fleamarket.

    I'm no expert in this field, but it could be possibly Aztec or Mayan (?) - but more likely a cheapo copy made for unsuspecting tourists.
    Hopefully my six Euros outlay was not in vain !

    Welcome, 15Stiftgasse.
    It wasn't, it is a bargain. It is a Mexican souvenir in pre-Columbian style, not a copy of a genuine pre-Columbian vessel. It has some age, my guess 1960s.
    People pay nice money for these older souvenirs.

    Maybe slightly less disappointing if you check out the older pre-Columbian style souvenirs on ebay etc. Your six Euros is a bargain.
