Can anyone give me a lead in identifying this handled basket?

I was inclined to call it an Alaskan grass basket, but it's more rigid, more 'slippery' to the touch, than what I'm accustomed to.

The base is 5.5 inches tall; 12" with the handle.

    Thanks as always!
