Featured Basket not sure if native american, pakistani, or african

    I bought this at the salvation army, I have no idea how to id baskets. I tried going online but not much concrete info was given that I could see.
    It is extremely tightly woven there are no broken parts. Its about 15" diameter- so pretty large. The distinctive thing is the herringbone stitch at the edges.

    Anyone know what this is?

    That looks legit to me. I think you've got a great find. But let's wait for the experts to chime in.

    Oh wow! I am so happy. I lived near the Pima reservation in Arizona for a long time.

    Congrats,amazing find ! Don't forget to contribute this Christmas,when you hear that little bell ringing.One of the big NA finds of the year so far.

    the double twist puts it in the circa 1900 age....give or take 10 years...

    Any time. Lots of beds to put you up. Just has to be dry in the creek. Mostly I find fossils.
