    Has anyone heard of silver maker Batting & co of Newark NJ?
    Their mark is supposed to be Sterling-B.

    Ok...
    I think I got it, the seller has it wrong, looks like it's Battin &co. not Batting.

    Battin & Co. Listed in the Jeweler's Circular from 1896 to 1922. Manufacturers of 14K and sterling match boxs, cigarette cases, eyeglass cases, belt buckles and pocket knives. (Quote from Rainwater's Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers, Revised 5th Edition.)

    Thank you, that has to be the one as I couldn't find a Batting & co.
    The dealer was off by just one letter :)
