    Hello all!

I picked this bedframe up at a local furniture salvage in the Philadelphia area last year. I'm curious about any info that you all may be able to provide to me. The frame is roughly for a full-sized bed, but has no slats for the bottom.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Also, enjoy a bonus photo of LLewyn the Maine Coon!

    Thank you all,

    :) Love Llewyn!!

The frame is in the "spindle style." I think I recall there being a popular actress's name associated with that style too (someone from the 1800s) but I can't think of it just now.

So do I!:cat: (The cat charm angle works every time.;))
I used to have a Norwegian forest cat, he looked a lot like your Llewyn. He also had to be everywhere, and 'help', mostly by playing with tools and screws. I miss him terribly.:(

As for the bed, this kind of decoration (turning) is usually called bobbin and makes it most likely Victorian. The missing slats, it seems, were not attached but kept in place by gravity alone, so no wonder they've gone missing.

Usually called a spool bed. Jenny Lind bed is a bit different. Circa 1875. Just missing the slats, which can easily be recreated. A full size should be approx. 54" wide. Some of these were 3/4 beds which is between a full and twin.

The Bear was a Wegie. I like them enormously. Arrogant sods, bless them. And super bright.
