Before i buy it. How old is this mirror? 19th or 20th century. Is it English?

    This is a bit of a dumb speculation but from the photos it seems as if the ornate part of the mirror, the carved gildy frame, might have been sort of tacked onto something newer, a newer mirror?

    Yes, this type of mirror appeared for many decades, enjoying an especially significant revival around the turn of the 20th century. Which is when I'd say this one is from; probably not English but Italian or French. A nice piece in the lower 3 digit$, at least here in the U.S. Midwest. Four digits? Fuhgettaboudit!
