Featured Bert and Ernie had a signature!!

    Some time back I introduced Bert and Ernie my two cherubs in this post

    and never once did I consider the possibility of there being a signature on
    the base of the statue like a normal sculpture. After all they are resin but there
    it is. First name starts with a “C” and the second with a “B” and has some “LL”s
    in it. Can anyone pick the name???

    I think I'm seeing Carie Belli, but it's a Google deadend. Amusingly, I get results for Valerio Belli, a big name in engraved gems from centuries ago.

    Think I may have stumbled onto the answer.
    It looks like it might be trying to imitate the signature of sculpters named Carrier-Belleuse. Not sure if it is either Louis-Robert or Albert-Ernest Carrier Belleuse and I can't find a sculpture that it imitates yet.
