    I see they say that these knives were from the estate of Edward Gerber. I did a little searching and found that several other Asian items from that estate have been sold by auction houses through the last several years. Some of the auctions call him Dr. Edward Gerber and say that he had a collection of Asian art. From what I can tell, he lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and passed away in 2013.

    That doesn't really help with the original item that @cxgirl posted but I just thought I'd mention it!
