    Hi all

The first of a few beads necklaces I'm posting here today. Aqua coloured glass or stone beads, I'm finding it hard to tell. They are cold and hard and not perfectly sphericle. I think the clasp is marked 9c, which is what drew me towards them.

    Maybe dyed agate?

I bought this because of the 9ct clasp too, I think my stones are glass, not sure about the spacers. image.jpg

Looks like glass, lovely colour. Agree, looks like the clasp is marked 9c (no t?). It may not be original to the necklace, the knots look like a home job. But they look very nice together.
Yes, both the blue beads and the spacer beads are glass. Again a nice combination.

Both clasps look early 20th century to me.
The costume joolies will know more about the age and origin of the beads.

I think both are decent art glass. The fact that it says 9ct means almost certainly British.

I'd have snagged either or both. The clasps may well have been off something else; I've recycled my share. The beads in the blue/black piece look like Czech lamp work. The others...dunno.

Yes I could believe they are restrung glass beads. There is definitely no 't' on the clasp-to be honest the 9c alone is a bit dubious. But it looks like rose gold to me.

Yes, it does and I've seen just c on old British gold before. I love rose gold, I'm glad it is back in fashion.

    9c is fine, very common.
