Bonjour, Australian in France joining in!

    Hello everyone, I live in France (just outside of Paris) and absolutely love art and antiquities, form and colour. I am blessed to have car-boot sales every weekend with amazing things for sale for a few coins. My house is a midas cave of colourful treasures spanning the ages and the world.

    France is a delight because at the car boot sales, called brocantes, everyone brings wine and baguette and everyone makes merry. Its fun to have a laugh, rummage, hear stories and haggle for treasure!

    I go to brocantes around where i live, which is far enough out of Paris to be authentic and not just for the tourists.

    My passion is religious art and old church statues, but i buy anything that is colourful, quirky or simply speaks to me.

    It's wonderful to have found your community, and I can't wait to be of help, and find out more about some of my own "treasures."

    Welcome to Hoarder Central...i.e. the board. You've found a nest of junk junkies! I primarily hoard jewelry, with an affinity for crazy copper from the 50s and Israeli silver. You'll fit right in with the rest of us magpies.
