hi, i acquired this brass bull dog rack thing today at my local thrift shop for 4.00 I was wondering what it is and it appears to have some age to it. The rack slides out even farther than it does in the third picture. I thought it was pretty neat when i saw it so i bought it. If anyone has any info that would be great thanks!

Expansion bookends. You should do really well with this, I have never seen one with a bulldog theme and they are a very popular breed right now.

Art Nouveau, rather than Art Deco, so a little older.:)

People apparently attribute them to Judd. They've sold for $100 to $200 on average in the last year according to worthpoint. Cast iron and brass.
