Too early to be steampunk, although the studs/rivets make it look a bit like steampunk.

I like steampunk as well. Would never buy it, but like the look of it.
The others in the links seem to be.
Maison Jansen, the Paris branch, managed to go on longer than the other Jansen branches, from 1880 until ca 1985. The Dutch firm started in Amsterdam in 1840.

By the way, I wonder how accurate is the attribution by the 1stbids seller?
Is there a solid evidence that Maison Jansen designed pieces produced by Mastercraft ( the Michigan company I guess) ?
Even if they did, do we know for sure that Janaen designed it and Mastercraft made it?
From online examples,to me it looks like the table does not quite match either of the companies styles.
    What do you think?

I don't know but I was wondering too. I was hoping some of the furniture folks might be better informed or have a catalog or something. You could always ask the seller to see where the attribution comes from.

Totally off track but this popped up in google when I was searching for something totally different. It did strike me how similar some of the elements were.

Very similar form and, it claims 1840s english origin. If that is correct then this form of furniture has been around a long time.
Cast brass legs that are sort of queen anne-ish bolted to brass plate with brass bolt covers. The apron/skirt is QA as well.

    Thank you all.
So, likely the Jansen/Masercraft attribution is not correct in this case.
