Brass Holder

    Does anybody know what this is.
    My 1st thought was a Napkin Holder but I haven't found any with a curved bottom
    It is Solid Brass hand crafted A1.jpg A2.jpg A3.jpg A5.jpg a6.jpg a7.jpg
    It is about 8 inch High & 6 inch wide
    It has the design of 2 birds with a flower Vase. The birds may be peacocks.
    It has a rectangular hole in the top
    any help would would be appreciated

    Way too close-up, but from what I see, I'm thinking it's a stirrup.....and maybe a repro one at that......but do wait for others....and can you take one more image from a little further away, please?? Thanks!!!:)

    Napkin holder for a horse. They like to keep tidy during meals.:D
    Absolutely. I have an antique Syrian/Persian one of a similar shape, iron with gold and silver inlay. But I think the decoration on this one is Pakistan or northern India. Maybe first half or mid 20th century.
