Brass plates?

    My editor doesn't really help but I'd guess it says something like designed & mfg by W.C(?)Lawson.

    I just acquired this pictured brass plate designed & Mfd by W.C. Lawson of Stonewall Jackson House in Grafton, WVa. Does anyone know anything about this plate and why there are only 10 states that seceded represented on the place. The value??

    Maybe because when the Civil War started, West Virginia was still part of Virginia?

    But West Virginia never seceded as a state. They became a state and split from VA in 1863 so they could stay in the Union.

    Then the question remains. I can't tell which one was omitted.

    I can't tell either. It's very hard to see the details on each "medallion." There ARE 11 medallions. What does the 11th one (not a state) say?
