Featured broken loose green gold beads

    Hi all

    found these in out local charity shop, beads from a broken necklace in a bag

    55 green, 30 gold spacers(some gold must have got away me thinks)

    the gold ones test 9ct or over

    anyone have an idea what stone the green ones could be

    any info or thoughts appreciated

    I'm not crazy about that white material in the beads though......

    That was a score. My brain is going DINGDINGDING and thinking jade too. Even if not, all that gold for pennies is a score.

    I also vote jade! Could be a nice necklace with minimal work. Or you could take the opportunity to add a central dangle/pendant of your choosing since you have to restring it anyway. Nice find.

    I'd be melting the gold and knotting the beads, with or without spacers.

    The Jade+ Gold combo restrung might be a bigger sale (but i'm no expert) ?

    Maybe, but you'd need a gold clasp too, and more gold beads. I'd hand-knot and use one of my surplus sterling claps, saved from broken jewelry when I scrapped it.

    Exactly. Fix with gold..$$$. Fix with leftovers...free. And I generally don't wear yellow gold, so decision made. Someone else may have other ideas.
