Brown Stoneware Bowl ID Help Please

Hi Potties

I got this bowl for free at the end of an antique show at a local historical society Saturday. It was in the society's booth and at the end of the day they just wanted it all gone!

Anyway, I did an image search and got a live listing at etsy:

Unfortunately, neither had any idea of a maker. Besides who done it, I was wondering, is this a mixing bowl? It seems short for that and the relatively straight sides seem wrong. I don't think it had a lid, there is no lip for a lid to sit on. Maybe it's some kind of casserole?

I also Googled "Brown Stoneware Bowl Leaf" and "Brown Stoneware Bowl Swirl", no joy there.

It measures 9" across the opening, 7" across the foot and 3-1/2" tall. Any help would be very much appreciated!
