Saw two pieces of Broyhill Brasilia in one of my local thrifts last week. It's a very small, low key and to all appearances genuine charity.
The two pieces were on the sales floor at $2000 each-went in yesterday and they both had SOLD signs on them.It was their special anniversary sale and all furniture was 50% Off-some MCM fans had come in bright and early and scooped 'em up ! @verybrad

I saw the bookcase earlier this year in a local antique store. The owner is forever complaining that he can't sell furniture. the book/display case sold in about a week.

Those are both really nice pieces. I would love to switch out my 80s headboard for that one, but $2K is a little rich for me.

Yep, even on the frugal buying pool on Ebay- I did see a few pieces that sold for 2K ea (plus shipping !!!), so I guess it's MCM blue chip stuff ?
Too rich for me too. There are handmade Scandinavian pieces (late 40's) that'd break my heart not to bring home, but a lot of the things I look at now I automatically think-'Are the kids going to chuck this when we're gone ?'.

    The name Broyhill doesn't hurt.
