Buffet? Side Board? What is this?

    Look at the back near the top. Anything look like a mirror might have been attached? If so then a dresser. If not then a side board.

    Time period 1920s-40s. Pre WWII

    I think that in this case, the difference between "sideboard" and "buffet" is all semantics. It's clearly not a dresser, as in for clothing, given the wasted space below the long drawer. Those angled screws only serve to attach the short piece (brain is not giving up the name for that part) to the main body of the piece - nothing to do with a mirror.

    Agree with Bakersgma. The small backsplash trim generally indicates a dining room piece. I tend to think of a sideboard as smaller than a buffet but it really is just semantics.
