    Reconstituted amber.
Could be yesterday, could be 1980s.

    Wait for more knowledgeable replies

I'm taking back the reconstituted. I do believe it has been melted and made into beads, but not sure what that is called. I thought it was reconstituted.

How big? Looks like worry beads.

It is a Tasbeh/Tesbih, Islamic rosary/worry beads. Could we see closeups of the beads?
Reconstructed amber? Many amber beads are. The Polish have come with a new, more correct classification for the different modifications, I'll look it up.

    Edit:
This is the Polish site I was looking for (in English):

They look too new and sort of mass made to be proper butterscotch. The best test is UV. Get a UV light on them, see if you get a nice fluorescent blue veil. If you do, you've scored. If not, a lot of these are coming out of Tibet.

    Not amber, I'd say.

I agree. But it is still a good idea to test with UV light, as obb said before.

Those are molded rather than cut, but they could be a reconstituted whatsit. Even if they're pure plastic, someone will like them.
