C.P. Hervey Coin Silver spoon. Has anyone come across this maker?

    Are you saying Morris and Maurice are one in the same? It looks like two individuals in the photo. Although it only says that Morris is Calvin’s son and not Maurice.

    Also is it totally unheard of that a man would take his wife’s name in addition to his when they married? As in Calvin Plummer Hervey? I think some people use both names now. Especially if her family was well to do or important maybe? No clue just an idea?

    If you look at census records for this family you will see there are only 2 sons - Maurice and John Campbell - no 3rd son. I have no idea where the museum compiled their records, but I do know from many years of research that the names Maurice and Morris are often confused with each other.

    They just be mixed up like you said. They mention Morris being a son but not Maurice.
