    Hi,
    This is a Bennett bolo and I’m trying to help a friend identify the stone. I’m torn between dendritic opal or some type of moss agate. Of course I could be very wrong. Any help is very much appreciated

    thank you!!

    My first thought was a moss agate.

    White Buffalo--also known as White Buffalo Turquoise--is a gemstone that is mined in Tonopah, Nevada by the Otteson family. It was presumed to be turquoise and often sold as such; however; its classification is magnesite and alumite. It has been popularized as White Turquoise.

    never heard of that before.......:wideyed::wideyed:

    My first reaction was some kind of dendritic jasper (agate is translucent) but those places that look like worm holes make me wonder if it's not fossil something or other.

    Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

    I'm no 'rock hound' but based on a couple of Google images, I'd guess Moss agate..!

    Or dendritic agate to be pedantic about it. I agree.
