Camel back couch ID

    Hello again!
    I got so many kind and well informed responses on my first post I figured I'd try again.

    I got this camel back couch and chair out of a storage shed years ago ,but now I'm running out of space and my wife has been bugging me to get rid of it.(She's never been a fan haha)
    So what I'm looking for is any info , date , and value.
    I need to figure out if I should try to sell it ,or if it's sellable. Or if it's not valuable just cool I'll just gift it to someone who will appreciate it.

    Here's what I think I know about it. (Forgive me if I'm completely wrong)
    It's from the late 1800s
    Maybe from France
    I think it's silk woven upholstery
    Definitely hand carved this I'm sure of as a woodworker myself.

    It's in pretty good condition, the bottom cover is falling off and hanging and needs at least one spring replaced from what I can see.
    It had some chips on the wood and needs refinishing. And the trim/gimp needs gluing in 2 places. The chair is perfect.
    Both are solid and usable as is.
    I'm in the Houston area if that helps.

    Oops forgot to ask if there is somewhere I should look for a makers mark!

    That doesn't look Victorian to my eye. Let's see what others think.

    A traditional sofa and chair from the mid-20th Century with Victorian/Edwardian elements. Looks like a spray-on walnut finish. Probably made in the US, but difficult to tell without a label.

    I hope the news isn’t too disappointing. This pair will be very handsome when restored.
