    The best advice I can give anyone newly interested in cameos is basically what scouts has said I'd say: try to resist all the 'pretty lady' cameos that cross your path (unless, of course, they're really, really pretty, well cut, in good condition & a good price), spend some time looking without buying to acquaint yourself with the variety that is out there, & save all those $20 - 40 temptations for 1 $120 - 200 piece that is more likely to hold its value & not leave you wondering 2 years from now why in the world you ever bought it. :)

    komokwa The Truth is out there...!

    I'll just pile on for the heck of it...;)

    Scouts & Bronwen put forth what we all know to be true.

    Research what it is that floats yer boat....then when you know enuf , the style you like, the setting that pleases you , the material of the carving and the bezel , buy the best you can afford.....but know that if you miss one....another will come along...giving you a lifetime of enjoyment !
    A jewelry box full of 20 to 50 dollar items....bent , unmarked, cracked, or roughed up enuf that wearing them no longer gives you a feeling of pride of ownership....is a sad position to be in !

    One nice cameo.....smart & proud looking...that you can't wait to wear again....
    that's the ticket !!! :happy::happy::happy:
