Monkey God/general Hanuman is a loyal friend of Rama, he is the first to go after the demons. He gets killed, but in the end the demons are conquered and Sita is returned to Rama.</p><p>Ramayana is called Ramakien in Thai.</p><p><br /></p><p>The scene on your vase is Hanuman fighting against the demons. In Southeast Asia Hanuman is seen as the epitomy of loyal friendship.</p><p>Monkey faces and demon faces look a bit similar in Thai imagery, but Hanuman is the one with the mace in his hand.
