This is a simple restore that I gave to my brother for Christmas. Does anyone have an idea on how old it may be. Resized_20200722_142127.jpeg Resized_20200806_153537.jpeg

Are you sure that's a humidor? It looks as if it's lined for a chamber pot. What is the metal? Zinc? Tin?

I believe it is copper lined. It may be too small for a chamber pot

Cheri, my Grandfather had one almost exactly like yours. It was in his den/smoking room to which he and the other men retired after dinner - think 1940-50s. As a child I always thought it was a neat little cabinet for hiding things.

thanks for the quick responses. It has been fun finding homes for the pieces I am refinishing and I like the fact that the people want to know a little about the pieces. I am trying to get better at looking up things - the phrase someone used - bullseye design - was an addition to my furniture vocabulary. Thanks again

I don’t know if these were technically called Bullseye, that’s just my interpretation, so it may not be helpful.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Well, you did find some things by searching the word, so it could be helpful in that way. But it was good to clarify.
