Featured Can you ID these Venetian glass beads? TIA!

    I found these at a flea market today from a guy who had the traditional wedding cake beads (price too high) but these were the beads that caught my eye.



    These are two strands of 15" necklaces that can be screwed together and worn as a 30" necklace, which is what the guy's aunt did. I have not ever seen this kind of glass.



    These are opaque cobalt blue, the beads are four-sided. The surface is rough, not smooth, matte, not glossy, and the aventurine is speckled all throughout.



    Anybody seen these before? Do you know if they have a name? Thanks!

    Very nice beads, Marko. I'll be interested in the answer as well.
    When I was researching a Murano necklace, all I could find was 'lapis blue speckled Murano art glass beads'. Maybe that is the term?

    No specific term, but a few descriptors for you. The rough finish is scavo. I'd probably call that confetti aventurine.

    Thanks! I have not seen a bead like this yet on the internet, been searching since I got them. :)
