Once upon a time, my parrot got a phone call.

One day, while the bird was on my shoulder, I got a wrong number call from a very cute little girl... maybe 9-10. We chatted about the right number, wrong one, etc... and the bird was blabbering away, making monkey noises, "sneezing". The little girl asked what the noise was; I explained. Finally we hung up.

An hour or two later, the little girl called back (I guess she remembered the "wrong" number after our chat). She had a little friend with her, both giggling, and she says... "Could we talk to the parrot?"

Sure, I hooked 'em up.

Ricardito... or Rickeybird... was initially Ricky Ricardo (my aunt named him 30 years ago. After various travels, he wound up with me). I've known him well since I was 8.
