Featured Can't get a good scan but who is this WWii photograph of? x

    I really do apologise for these pics, I could not get a better one. Tried to scan but that was a disaster. It's a really small photograph,about 6 cms by 6 and a bit cms.

    I've taken various pics of it, with flash on and off, I really do not think I can get a better one. I realise it maybe asking a bit much for anyone to have any idea about this but I am just hoping x x
    I don't know anything about it other than it has RIDAX on the back.
    Fingers crossed someone can make some sense out of this

    Looks to uneducated me that he's wearing the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves...closest I've got to ID is Helmut Wick but I literally am guessing x

    The uniform that guy is wearing is a German Officer Luftwaffe Pilot uniform.:)

    RIDAX is the German brand of photographic paper.
    He appears to be a German Navel officer WWII.

    Luftwaffe officer uniforms have patches on the lapels.

    I have seen some pictures in which the patches were low enough to not be seen in this photo. :)

    I don`t think this guy has wings on the insignia, wings were on the Luftwaffe insignia but also either side of the Swastika on the eagle on most uniforms.

    Thanks all...I always thought it was a pilot for some reason.
    I also thought Ridax was Belgian so thanks everyone xxx

    Someone on another forum suggested they thought it could be Martin Drewes but as there is no way to be sure, it could literally be anyone xx

    Is the whitish part on the upper right of the photo on the photo itself or is it glare from a flash when you took your photo?
