    The first pass (before I posted) was just soaking it in water for 30 minutes. It appeared to do nothing. Dried it off and set it down overnight.

    So never wound up using the great suggestions I got here.

    Yes, Mirana and Nana. Often I'm handing off jars. Once in a blue moon, I might get a "Well, you loosened it." But maybe I did loosen this one!

    I distinctly remember the last jar he opened, he very sweetly told me he was certain it was loosened and he could feel that. I love him deeply for lying to me. :hilarious: He insisted he was being truthful. I love that he tries to protect my sense of can-do, but these lil arms have not been properly worked in over a year. :grumpy:
