Holy cow, that AMBER. I'd sell it as is, don't bother stringing.

Caleche is a lovely perfume, I do like Hermes. I've got that refill, it's 80s ish.

I am proud of you K!
Come on, K, it is sweet, look at the work that was put in. There is a lot of love there.:)
The lovely enameled pendant looks Indian meenakari to me.

The amber beads are gorgeous, you lucky girl. I would call the colour honey amber, egg yolk is more pale.
They are pressed amber, you can see the individual small pieces and the swirly lines where they are pressed together.
A true bargain, but it is difficult to compare it to the one on AR without seeing more of that one. It could have been natural amber, which is much more valuable, or pressed from single pieces.

The one on AR was HUGE butterscotch beads.

Thankyou. **blushes**:shame: A few years ago I wouldn’t have recognised amber if it came up and bit me!. You and everyone on the forum have been so generous with your knowledge.

    And a lot of lollies……
Glad to see you appreciate such a quality item. Sadly I haven’t got room in my house for such an exquisite art work but I do recognise the work that went into it.

Spot on from my googling. Thankyou.

Aren’t they!. I know they have value but I must be really odd that I get the kick out of finding these things and researching not necessarily their value. Im also rubbish at selling things I like.
That would be why I’m poor……
Trying to get an accurate value on something like this is like pinning a tail on mist as trying to find a genuine expert isn’t easy. Apart from on here of course!
Most jewellers would have less idea than me and that’s saying something.

Off to look on watch again.

Thanks for sharing. Sometimes heading out with little cash means you are more careful in your purchase and so come back with better profit. However, sometimes you find that great find and no cash to buy it. You did well.

Tilley hats are great outdoor hats - and do have a lifetime policy that they will be replaced if lost; probably only for the original owner though. I've had one for years; and they are so recognizable that other Tilley-owners will stop me to compare hats.
And also as mentioned, price new is $80-$100 or more.

Yeh I was thinking closer to 4-5 but wanted to be on the conservative side. I’ve sold big strands of Copal Amber for good money. No experience with big Baltic Amber other than seeing results of others sales.

These beads aren't natural Baltic amber, they are pressed/reconstituted.
Given the good size and shape, maybe the $100-150 range? I am not up to speed with current pressed amber prices.:shame:

Still a nice value, but nothing like natural beads. Mind you, natural Baltic amber beads that size are rare, most are treated in some way.

Haha, it did make me more careful with the money. We have a running joke with my daughter that she always gets given free stuff. She has a secret weapon of these big blue puppy eyes, she unleashed them mercilessly on unprepared sellers and they just fold and hand over the the goodies. She never asks for anything for free, she doesn’t need to :hilarious: Usually soft toys come home with us but when she is fully trained I will send her into a Land Rover or Jaguar show room and watch them crumble.

Wasn't me, but I concur. Unfortunately fluorite isn't worth much.
