Hi! I have a beautiful set of 3 nesting tables. The smallest one opens up and is a music box. On the bottom of that table is a sticker that says Lador Carillon Svizzero Isola Di Capri 1571. My searches for this pull up tons of music boxes, with a similar style. I know that Isola Di Capri is an Italian song. Who is the maker of the table? Lador? Lador Carillon Svizzero? What does the 1571 mean? Any help would be appreciated!
Lador is on the winding hardware...so they made the music box. 1571....likely the model number.. any marks on the other tables?? oh..... lovely set !!!!!
Thank you, they are beautiful tables that my grandparents bought on a trip abroad long long ago. Trying to get more info so that I can be more knowledgeable when I go to sale them. I'm near Portland Maine.
boy , did they make a lot of these..... u should be able to get a ballpark value.... vintage italian nesting table music box set
I would think certainly Italian. This set with different inlay sold for $350.00 ITALIAN (3) NESTING TABLES SORRENTO ITALY - Inlaid Wood - MUSICAL JEWELRY BOX | eBay I saw others selling for as low as $25.00 at auction. Set Of Three Nesting Tables - Nov 07, 2020 | Gulfcoast Coin & Jewelry In Fl (liveauctioneers.com)
hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...!!! What my eye tells me is that these two threesomes....most likely came from the same factory.... but.... it looks like you don't have a complete set !
That's very interesting. Wondering if my grandparents swapped out the music box table for the song. I'll never know.
