Was sold as made of whale stuff but looks more like land whale stuff cut length wise? I’d guess African but not really sure who it represents? Thoughts? EDF82B3C-86CD-4BB9-96BE-2D6180AD82D1.jpeg F12703A4-DC1F-4C4F-B006-91482C100F4F.jpeg

Looks more like Polynesian to me than African? Flowers in the hair and long pony tail hair.

Could be Indonesian, certainly not African, with that hair.
    Ditto for Indonesia.
Also looks like she is wearing a "slendang", a long shawl that is worn over one or both shoulders, which can double as a baby carrier shawl.

Thanks blacksmith and AJ. Never did hear of a slendang before now. The gals in that illustration are a lot prettier than mine. I did not think it looked African per se but I thought it looked more African than anything else I could think of.

Of a pachyderm not of a sea mammal yeh?

I have no idea what the material is, looks like it could be cuttlebone, but I don't know if it feels like that.
