carved soapstone ID

    hi i was wondering if someone could ID this carved soapstone for me? It has a carved town on one side and on the other side it has carved men with a tree. Also comes with wooden stand. Thank you for any info!

    Just curious.....why soapstone and not jade?????

    How can I tell if its jade?? Found it at my local thrift shop.

    Does it slide off the base? If so see if you can scratch the bottom with your fingernail.

    Couldnt go outside as my camera lens kept fogging up but here is a few with my real camera. Ill have to try that holly. Yes it slides off the base.
