This is another piece I found at a local thrift store today. It's in great condition + the horses are articulated; when the front wheels roll the horses "gallop" (go up and down as if they are running)

I looked these up on ebay & saw they have old ones & they also have vintage reproductions for sale/selling.

Can anyone tell which mine is? I'm semi hopeful because the screws are slot screws not phillips screws (6th photo); which I usually see in newer toys?

If it is a reproduction can anyone tell what year this is from?

Also what was this called; there are a lot of different kinds?

Thank you for any help, it is appreciated!

Lucille.b - if you go to the 6th photo you will see it has phillips screws (an X or criss cross slot for screwdriver tip) - mine has a slot screw that was used before the phillips screws came out/were used

Just going on photos and gut, but still guessing yours is vintage. It does not look 100 years old looking at the paint and condition. (Unless someone painted or restored yours -- I suppose possible!) The cord/hose on yours looks in perfect shape. But do your research because would be great it if it was older. Here is one that is somewhat similar in design, but shows wear and age and sold for a nice amount.

Looks like a Utexiqual Products item from the 1960's (?). Made from Kenton molds after they closed in 1952.
