    I see no reason for it not to be a decent mid 19th cast iron fender.

    How on earth did they ship that!

    No fireplace is truly complete without assorted tools, an ash/coal bucket and a fender. I agree with 19th. century and it is a nice wide one.

    Agree - closer to 1850 than 1900 . . . Renaissance revival design in full swing. I'd look for a casting mark to possibly ID maker. Nice piece.
