    Hey there,

    Estate sale find here...
Celtic Cross Pendant with rope chain. The chain is marked 925 Italy.

Is the cross pendant AH Arthur Harris of Birmingham? There's an anchor shape stamped as well.

It's not a proper hallmark, so I don't think so.

What isn't proper, can you please elaborate or provide another guess as to who might be the maker?

My limited knowledge and research says an anchor = Birmingham?

It came from a very nice mid-century modern estate sale where the home and real estate value is easily $1M+ in California.

I'm not positive it's Arthur Harris, but the anchor shape seems to be indicative of Birmingham. If anyone knows of another AH English/British silversmith with these intials? Please reply. Thank you.

Hi, your marks look odd because they're quite modern - since 1998 the date letter has been optional, and quality can be indicated by either the lion-passant or the millesimal fineness as on your piece. Below is the same piece by the same maker (mark form can vary over time) with 1986 hallmarks - no idea who the maker was/is, not sure it's of great importance if selling, but the Birmingham Assay Office may be able to tell you, though it might take a while...

Perfect! Thank you so much for the spot on response. I listed it for $40 opening bid, so it's reasonably priced.
