Ceramic pedestal cheese plate – age and pattern identification help

Hello

Picked up this pedestal mounted plate made by BP & Co.

From my research this may have been used as cheese plate and the pattern is bamboo.

The plate is 10 and ½ “across and about 1 1/2 “high. I

While old, I know the piece does not have a lot of value, but what I was wondering if anyone had seen plain or white examples of this pattern. All the images I’ve found with the same pattern come in various colors. Any feedback would be appreciated. - Thanks

 

Very pretty. Reminds me of Brownfield Pottery majolica in the bamboo pattern. I suspect it's missing its dome.

 

I wondered if it had a dome as well. The only one I was able to find in this style sans the pattern was listed by a UK antique daily site that seemed to suggest it was for cheese, so a cover of some sort would seem to be in order, but there's had none as well. Seems like this manufacturer was more heavily into industrial or household items in the day, toilet bowls and the like, so housewares must have been a limited off shoot, could not find a lot of info. on the company.
