Chairs - origin?

Hi, another thing I would love to know after my visit to the antiques market today is the origin, age, and style of these chairs. One has coins with Queen Elizabeth inserted - but I think they could be added later.

 

My total guess would be Ireland. Galway had a lot of Spanish influence, and these look a bit Spanish inspired, yet the horse heads, make me think Ireland.

They look like they were made for a theatre or movie production.

Do you know which Queen Elizabeth, and which country?

 

They looked like sovereigns to me, though very shiny so might be a copy
The ones with young Elizabeth II

 

The fact that they are in Mexico leads me to believe that they are Spanish colonial. I think they are more in the style, than period pieces. Could still have some good age to them but not several hundred years.

 

Not sovs. I suspect big old pennies.

They certainly do look like playhouse or movie set furniture, they don't look well made, but something made quickly for show.
