    Hi folks

found this in our local charity shop today for a couple of quid.
although the subject matter is usually landfill tat, this looks like a one off piece

lovely beveled glass box and all the decoration looks hand etched ? (is that what you call it)

its signed by someone in a village local

    any info or commenrs appreciated

the black area inside is removable, for making the etched part more visible ?

Nicely done piece.I'd think one of our resident sleuths might be able to track down the artist.
Now you just need to entice the craziest rich Di collector.

Signed with a name and location. Somebody was proud of it. Second finding a crazy Diana collector. There can't be too many of those boxes about.

He appears to be a company director. Odd place for an artist to sign; think inscribed to instead.

I would have been inclined to grab it too. Like you say most royal paraphernalia is complete tosh but this looks a bit different.

That’s a nice thing! You should sell it yesterday/today. With the Queen dying I think there was a big bump in royal buying. ALSO the television show ‘The Crown’ just released the first half of its final season. The last episodes will be released in two weeks time. The final season is all about the death of Diana. The show is massively popular. I haven’t checked but I’d assume there will be a huge spike in sales of Diana related things in the next few weeks. I finally watched it this year after hearing about it for many years. I found it pretty enthralling. I knew very little about the history and lives of the royal family so it was entertaining and educational.
