I will probably be able to ID the mark but wonder if the metal parts are solid silver or other alloy.
    Thanks

    I doubt silver
    it conducts heat really well

The metal looks like a copper alloy of some kind.

    Hi Komo,
Silver is one the best heat conductors there is. I remember where one of the big name stores were selling sterling silver frying pans. Like I could afford one.:(

I believe the 2 characters on the right side of the marks are 江 西 or rather 江西-2z.jpg . They are the characters for Jiangxi province. Can't help with the other 2 characters. Searching Gotheborg Chinese marks, there are several with the Jiangxi province characters. I couldn't spot any that have the other 2 characters.

Thanks. I came with something like Jiangxi Ming Chi ... There were some companies during the Republic period with similar marks.

    Hey there Greg !
I have 2 silver spoons that I use exclusively for my coffee.
On rare occasions I'll make an instant coffee, & pour the boiling water in the cup with the spoon still there........I can't touch the spoon till the coffee cools down !
