Chinese? Cast Metal Bell

    Hi all,

    Can anyone tell me anything about this cast bell. I think its Chinese but maybe Japanese?

    I must confess, I am much more interested in that Balinese beauty in the background. A quality carving, 1930s-40s, a stunner.:happy:

    In my ignorance, I think Chinese on the cast bell...mainly because the Japanese have a reverence for the odd number, and there are 4 holes in the top and 8 fingers at the rim. The translation will tell the story...

    I've been wrong before, 'tho...I remember back in the 60's...:rolleyes:

    Antique cast iron Chinese Bell (?) Google it and then find an online expert who (May/May Not) give you a freebie opinion.
