Yeah it certainly gives you impetus to send things quickly. Ive been using 48 tracked for over a year now. I got tired of the eBay tracking that only told you when the parcel is delivered. It suited me cus it proved delivery but some customers got shirty when I couldn't tell them exactly where there parcel was. Also 2nd class looks like it's not sent on eBay and sometimes even when delivered. I think it's only 20p dearer than 2nd class. just passed the costs into buyers. Same with boxes. I used to bin dip and scavenge LIDL for them but now I just buy a load of 12" x 9" x 5" boxes and add 30p on postage.

Oh, for the days when you didn't know when the mail would arrive and you spent days in delicious anticipation! When I was 10 or 11, I used to cut out coupons in magazines to send away for travel info. I would be delighted to receive large envelopes with all sorts of information and photos of places. Has Google made things a bit boring?

Was all this back in the days when you had to go to the library to check your emails? Windows 98 and Pentium III was fast.

I was showing an elderly lady around the housing location I work at work today and discussing down sizing. She then went on to tell the virtues of her mechanical typewriter. She said its great because if you go to a third world country on holiday and there's a power cut, you can still use it.
